The National Executive Council of the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO) invites applications from eligible members for appointment to the National Elections Board. This Board will oversee the national elections scheduled to commence in January 2026, in accordance with Article XVIII of the KUCO Constitution, and other applicable laws.

Mandate of the National Elections Board, shall:

  • Develop and implement the election timetable.
  • Receive, vet, and shortlist candidacy applications.
  • Prepare and authenticate the delegates register.
  • Supervise all branch and national elections.
  • Adjudicate all election disputes within fourteen (14) days post-election.

All activities shall comply with KUCO Constitution, the Labour relation Act and other relevant legislation.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be registered Clinical Officers with a valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council.
  • Be fully paid-up KUCO members in good standing with proof of membership.
  • Not hold union office or be candidates or agents in the upcoming elections.
  • Demonstrate integrity, impartiality, professionalism, and possess skills in dispute resolution and electoral processes.

Applicants to Submit the following documents:

  • A formal application letter.
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae.
  • Copy of National Identity Card or passport.
  • Valid Clinical Officers Council practicing license.
  • Proof of KUCO membership (proof of subscription for the last three (3) months).

Terms of Appointment

This role is a stipulated-term assignment for the 2026 election cycle and not a full-time position. Detailed terms will be provided upon appointment. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
